Chloe Bailey, the multifaceted singer and actress known professionally as Chlöe, is embracing a new chapter in her life that she lovingly calls her “rich auntie era.” The inspiration behind this shift? Her one-year-old nephew, Halo.
In a recent interview with People to promote her partnership with Ray-Ban Meta Glasses, Chloe opened up about how her nephew has influenced her outlook and style. “I have to give credit to Halo because I feel like he’s helping me tap into my rich auntie era,” she shared. “I definitely feel like I’m allowing myself to feel more of a boss and not take everything so seriously, and I have to give credit to him.”
Halo, born last December to Chloe’s sister, Halle Bailey, and YouTuber DDG, has become a pivotal figure in the Bailey family. While Halle and DDG’s romantic relationship ended earlier this year, the pair has maintained a healthy co-parenting dynamic for their son.
In January, Halle and DDG officially introduced Halo to the world, delighting fans. However, the family dynamic faced some turbulence in November when Halo appeared during a livestream of Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 subathon while DDG was a guest. Halle expressed her frustration over the situation on X (formerly Twitter) but later apologized for her reaction, acknowledging she may have overreacted.
DDG responded with a heartfelt defense of Halle, emphasizing his respect for her. “She could be going through something mentally after having a kid that I can’t understand as a man,” he said in a vlog. “I wouldn’t have [Halo] if it wasn’t for Halle. And for that reason alone, I got unconditional love and respect for her that nobody can really change.”
For Chloe, Halo’s presence seems to have brought a fresh perspective and a sense of joy to her life. As she navigates her evolving career and family roles, it’s clear she’s embracing every moment with gratitude and style.
