SZA’s ‘SOS’ Reclaims Billboard 200 Throne Following Deluxe ‘Lana’ Release

SZA’s chart-topping streak continues as her sophomore album SOS returns to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200, bolstered by the release of its deluxe edition, Lana. According to Billboard, SOS earned an impressive 178,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. during the week ending December 26, marking SZA’s eleventh non-consecutive week at the summit.

All versions of the album, including the original and the deluxe Lana release, are combined for charting purposes under the SOS umbrella, as per Billboard’s tracking rules. This surge reaffirms SZA’s domination since SOS first debuted at No. 1 in December 2022, a milestone that made it her first chart-topping album.

Remarkably, even if Lana had been released as a standalone project, SZA would have still clinched the top spot. Meanwhile, Michael Bublé’s Christmas album continues to hold its perennial holiday charm, securing the No. 2 position with 100,000 units earned.

The deluxe Lana edition brings new collaborations and fresh energy to SOS. Highlights include “30 for 30,” a mesmerizing track featuring Kendrick Lamar, marking the eighth collaboration between the two stars. Other notable features include Phoebe Bridgers and Don Toliver, who add their unique flair to the expanded project.

Fans of SZA and Kendrick have even more to look forward to as the duo prepares to hit the road next year for the Grand National Tour. Set to kick off in April, the tour will traverse major stadiums across the U.S. and Canada, promising unforgettable performances from two of today’s most electrifying artists.

With SOS and Lana, SZA continues to solidify her place as one of music’s most impactful and enduring voices. The combination of stellar collaborations, thoughtful storytelling, and undeniable artistry ensures her reign is far from over.
