Lil Uzi Vert Defends BBLs, Calls Them ‘Underrated’

Lil Uzi Vert is standing up for Brazilian butt lifts (BBLs), calling them “underrated” and addressing the criticism they often face. The rapper, who uses they/them pronouns, shared their thoughts on the latest episode of Pitchfork’s “Over/Under,” released on Monday, December 30.

“BBLs actually get a lot of hate,” Uzi said around the six-minute mark. “Only people that be hating on BBLs, like, especially in, I guess, the boy community is the ones that don’t got no BBL girls.”

Uzi, who is dating JT of the City Girls—a public advocate of the body enhancement procedure—expressed their support for women who choose to enhance their appearance. “If a woman wanted to make they self look better in their eyes, then I’m with it,” they added. “So BBLs lit.”

This isn’t the first time Lil Uzi Vert has opened up about their relationship with JT. In an October interview with Complex’s Jordan Rose, Uzi revealed that their romance began when they sent a song to the City Girls member. They also hinted at their desire to collaborate with JT on a more extensive music project.

“I want to sit down and really work with her,” Uzi said. “She’s really good as an artist. To me, for real, it’s pockets that she knows how to do that I don’t know how to do on some rapping shit, and she just does it naturally.”

Fans are now speculating about what a joint project between Uzi and JT might sound like, with many eager to see the couple blend their styles in the studio. For now, Uzi’s stance on BBLs adds another layer to their outspoken personality, reinforcing their commitment to supporting self-expression in all forms.
