Chief Keef and Nardwuar launched into 2025 with a fresh interview.
The legendary interviewer, known as the Human Serviette, sat down with Sosa at his Glod Mine Studio for his inaugural 2025 interview, where they delved into discussions about his professional journey, musical inspirations, and personal stories.
During their interaction, Nardwuar presented Keef with thoughtful gifts, including vinyl recordings of Oceans Eleven and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, reflecting the rapper’s appreciation for both series. Additionally, he received a Donny Hathaway compilation record, a tribute to an artist his grandmother deeply admires.
Despite his current preference for home-cooked meals over restaurant food, Keef admitted he makes one notable exception for White Castle.
“That’s some Chicago stuff,” he expressed at the 15-minute point in the above video. “When I was little, I used to go to White Castles and get sliders. And we still go to White Castles now, I send my assistant to White Castle sometimes too.”
When questioned about potentially starting his own franchise, he responded, “That’s the thing that I’ve been wanting to do.”
White Castle isn’t his only meaningful connection to fast food establishments. In characteristic Nardwuar style of bringing up lesser-known facts, he inquired about Keef’s mother’s employment at Arby’s, which helped support his early music endeavors.
“I forgot all a-fucking about that, dude,” Keef remarked. “My mama bought me—I forgot what she bought me. You know more than me for real, for real.”
