Drake’s already making waves in the new year.
Conductor Williams made waves when he dropped what looks like a fresh freestyle from Drake, right as fans are sitting tight for that promised collab album with PARTYNEXTDOOR. Plus, everyone’s still buzzing about Drake’s epic showdown with Kendrick Lamar from last year.
The plot thickened when Conductor’s Instagram post pointing to the video vanished minutes later. Nobody’s sure exactly when the footage was shot, and Drake himself hasn’t said a word about it.
In the video, the Toronto superstar spits bars about fake love, loyalty tests, and throws some serious shade at his rivals. He weaves in clever references, including a playful nod to his classic album Nothing Was the Same.
Looking back, Drake and Conductor Williams have been cooking up heat together lately. Conductor produced “8AM in Charlotte” on Drake’s 2023 album For All the Dogs, plus “Stories About My Brother” on the Scary Hours Edition.
Meanwhile, Drake’s legal team is making moves against Kendrick’s Grammy-nominated diss track “Not Like Us.” And during a holiday stream with Adin Ross, Drake dropped his thoughts on the rap game, comparing it to “a weird NBA season” while teasing that PARTYNEXTDOOR collab project.
