The famous streamer gives us the lowdown on what’s really going down between him and Ye.
In the past few days, the internet went wild after Ye posted a weird edited pic showing a Bully promo horse chilling in Kai’s crib. Kai, who’s killing it right now and even made Complex’s top streamers list, jumped on stream to break down all the confusion this pic stirred up.
“Man, I’m lost about what any of this means,” Kai shared with his viewers. “Look, I know he’s dropping some new music soon. And honestly? I think I might’ve just become part of his album promo strategy. Not totally sure, but that’s my guess. Pretty genius move from him though. He’s got me wrapped up in his album rollout, bro.”
He went on: “But it’s just so out of nowhere. Like, I really wanna understand what’s going on in his head, you know? Wait – is he trying to say I look like a thirsty horse? For real? What’s the deeper meaning here? Is he about to drop a diss track on me?”
Then Kai floated the idea of hitting up Ye’s manager, which he actually did. The manager said he’d try to set up a chat between the two. After wrapping up the call, Kai was still scratching his head, wondering if Ye was just messing with him or maybe showing some love since Bully is coming soon.
Things took a turn when Kai got another ring from Ye’s people. They mentioned Ye was still catching Z’s at that hour but told Kai to stay glued to his phone in case the multi-Grammy champ hit him up. And wouldn’t you know it? Just like they showed in the clip, Ye slid into Kai’s DMs.
“Yo, this is crazy. Kanye just hit me up,” Kai announced. “He sent ‘Happy new year, family.’ No cap, for real… It’s all good now, chat. We’re straight.”
Kai told his viewers he wrote back suggesting they should get together and talk things out. This is quite the turnaround from last April when Ye publicly called Kai out as an “industry plant.”
As for Bully, folks were expecting it to drop in 2024, which would’ve made it Ye’s third major release that year after he and Ty Dolla Sign dropped those two Vultures projects. Right now, nobody’s quite sure what’s happening with Bully – Ye’s first solo drop since Donda back in 2021 – though some recent social media clips show they’re still putting work into the album.
