Nick Cannon just opened up the doors to his enormous New Jersey pad, bringing along his 13-year-old twins from his marriage with Mariah Carey for a special house tour.
In a 30-minute YouTube drop, the trio gave fans a peek at some wild features of his place – including a ball pit, slide, and some pretty unique collector’s items like a Louis Vuitton Iron Man helmet and a Martin Luther King Jr. Bearbrick.
“You know what’s funny? I installed this slide before I even had any kids,” admits Cannon, who’s now a dad of 12. “This was totally for me. I got tired of taking the stairs to the kitchen or living room, so I thought – why not slide into a ball pit right in my front entrance?”
During the tour, Cannon and his daughter stop by a guitar, leading to a cute father-daughter moment. “I’m teaching my daughter how to play guitar,” he says, but she quickly sets him straight: “I already know.” Turns out she’s been rocking out in her mom’s Christmas Time Tour performances.
While his daughter helped with part of the house tour, Cannon mentions he had to fly solo for some of it because “my kids needed to be on stage with their mom, and I’d be in hot water if they showed up late to the show.”
The tour takes an emotional turn when Cannon shares the story behind his Louis Vuitton Iron Man helmet. “Iron Man really speaks to me because he nearly died, but when everyone thought it was over, that’s when his superhero side came out,” he explains, connecting it to his own health journey. “That’s why I relate so much – when I got diagnosed with lupus, I decided to see it as my superpower.”
Cannon, now 44, and Carey ended their eight-year marriage in 2016. Beyond their twins, he’s dad to 10 more kids with five different partners.
