If you’ve been following the whole drama between these two action stars, you caught a pretty interesting moment at the Golden Globes on Sunday.
During the ceremony hosted by Nikki Glaser, Vin Diesel stepped up to announce who won the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award, which went to Wicked. But before he got down to business, he spotted The Rock sitting in the Beverly Hilton crowd and couldn’t help himself.
“Hey, Dwayne,” Vin called out, which got everyone laughing and even had Johnson flashing a big grin.
The two stars have had their share of ups and downs that’s been talked about everywhere. Then in 2023, Fast X fans got a shock when Johnson popped up as Hobbs in a surprise scene, and word is he’ll be back for the next big installment too.
Just this past November, Vin Diesel, who isn’t just acting but also produces the Fast series, dropped a pic on Instagram of him and Johnson together. He told fans he’s hoping to bring back “real street racing, practical stunts, and a reunion of that beautiful brotherhood.” He also hinted we might see the next movie hitting theaters around March 2026.
When Entertainment Tonight caught up with Johnson on the Globes red carpet Sunday, they asked him about that 2026 timeline. Johnson kept it pretty chill, saying “I think that’s the plan… We’ll see.”
Looking ahead, The Rock’s getting ready to transform into MMA legend Mark Kerr for The Smashing Machine, with Benny Safdie writing and directing. Meanwhile, Vin’s heading back to his sci-fi roots, suiting up again as Riddick in Riddick: Furya with David Twohy calling the shots.
