DeRay Davis threw an unexpected name in the hat for future award show hosting duties.
When TMZ caught him at LAX, the comedian gave props to Nikki Glaser’s Golden Globes performance before suggesting a surprising choice for another ceremony.
“This might sound wild—not sure if he’d be down,” Davis shared. “But I think 50 Cent should host The Emmys. He’s got the humor… and he’s earned it. Why not?”
50 spotted Davis’ comments and jumped on Instagram with an excited response: “@deraydavis this is so cool, you saying this made my day. 2025 is gonna be the year. Turn down for what!”
Speaking of award show hosting, Glaser was a hit at the Golden Globes, especially when she roasted Diddy – something that probably had 50 cracking up.
She started by comparing the upcoming film Challengers with Zendaya to Diddy’s spending habits, joking it was “more sexually charged than Diddy’s credit card,” before dropping another zinger about the parties.
“I know… I’m feeling it too,” she teased the crowd. “Sure, the post-show bash won’t be quite the same this year, but life goes on.”
Then came her killer punchline about a “Stanley Tucci freak-off not hitting quite the same,” followed by “We’re swapping baby oil for olive oil this time around.”
