While recovering from a ligament injury that’s keeping him off the court, basketball player LiAngelo Ball is making waves in music with his song “Tweaker” – and Boosie Badazz is feeling it.
The track’s been blowing up, generating tons of memes online thanks to its old-school flavor. It’s caught the ear of at least one notable southern rapper, with Boosie showing love and reaching out for a collab.
“Send da verse @LiAngeloBall,” Boosie dropped on Tuesday, Jan. 7
Boosie’s not the only one trying to hop on the “Tweaker” wave. MoneyBagg Yo jumped in on Tuesday too, tweeting “@LiAngeloBall send me da open verse ima tweak.”
LiAngelo hasn’t publicly replied to either rapper’s offer yet – he’s not too active on X/Twitter these days.
His brother Lonzo Ball, who got a songwriting credit on the track, cleared up his involvement: “Only credit I deserve is the cover art lol G really that!” The song’s buzz has earned LiAngelo a spot at Rolling Loud Los Angeles 2024, where he’ll perform “Tweaker” during the March 15-16 festival.
