Chance the Rapper and Kirsten Corley Finalize Their Divorce Agreement

Chance the Rapper and Kirsten Corley have worked out their divorce details.

TMZ reported Thursday (Jan. 9) that the pair filed their final paperwork in Cook County, Illinois. Court docs show that Chance (real name Chancelor Bennett) and Corley got married in December 2018 – though they had their big Newport Beach ceremony in March 2019 – and have been living apart for over six months.

While their marriage couldn’t be saved, Corley reportedly reviewed and agreed to the settlement terms, finding them fair.

Corley filed for divorce in December following news of their April separation. The couple released a joint statement about co-parenting their daughters Kensli, 9, and Marli, 5, “amicably.”

“We’ve decided to separate after taking some time apart,” they posted on their Instagram Stories. “This was a mutual decision made with gratitude for our time together. God blessed us with two amazing daughters who we’ll continue raising together. We ask for privacy and respect during this transition. Thank you.”

Signs of trouble appeared when Chance was caught on video at Jamaica’s Carnival in April 2023, dancing and getting handsy with another woman. Corley seemed to respond by posting a Maya Angelo quote about people who “don’t grow up,” apparently aimed at Chance. Though reports later claimed they were “all good,” that clearly didn’t last.
