The new Peacock doc Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy features shocking claims from Tim ‘Dawg’ Patterson, a childhood friend of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, about parties at the music mogul’s childhood home.
Rolling Stone reports that producer Patterson claimed Janice Combs, Diddy’s mom, regularly hosted adult parties where guests had sex. “This was our normal – it’s what we saw,” Patterson shared. “Did it desensitize us? Probably. Did we realize it then? Nah, it was just another Saturday night.”
Patterson suggested these early experiences might connect to Diddy’s alleged crimes, including federal racketeering and sex trafficking charges. Diddy’s already facing multiple lawsuits, including one from ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura who claimed he forced her to do drugs and join sex parties he called “freak offs.” Though he settled with Cassie, Diddy’s still facing over 30 civil suits alleging sexual assault or harassment.
“People always ask why,” Patterson noted. “I don’t have that answer, but I believe it all stems from his childhood.” He added that Diddy got bullied at his all-boys Catholic school because kids could “smell he was not tough” and saw him as “the rich kid.”
“The house was party central on weekends,” Patterson recalled. “There was alcohol, weed smoke, drug users, lesbians, gay folks, pimps, dealers – all kinds of people. The party crowd was straight from Harlem streets. You might accidentally walk into a bedroom and catch a naked couple in there.”
Former Diddy associate DJ EZ Lee Davis said while he never attended, he’d heard about these parties for years. The full 90-minute doc drops on Peacock Tuesday, Jan. 14, featuring interviews with Al B and several Making the Band crew members.
Diddy remains in custody awaiting his May trial. He’s pleaded not guilty to all charges.
