Regional Mexican band Fuerza Regida helps out LA fire victims with major housing support.
The group announced Saturday, Jan. 11, they’ve secured hotel space for over 50 families and promise more rooms for those needing shelter. The band members, who call San Bernadino home – one of the six wildfire sites – are stepping up big time.
“To our beloved community affected by the Los Angeles fires: We are here for you in this challenging time. We’ve rented out a hotel with space for more than 50 families, more will become available for those in need of shelter,” they shared. “Please know that we stand with you and will continue to support throughout this difficult period. Rooms will be available at 3pm PT 01/11/24. Please reach out to [email protected] for further information. Stay safe. Much Love, Fuerza Regida.”
The group shared on Instagram they’ve locked in the hotel for six days. They’re not alone in helping out – other stars are stepping up too.
Snoop’s letting folks grab free clothes from his Inglewood store, while Halle Berry’s giving away her whole wardrobe to help victims. Charli XCX took a different angle, calling out brands to send care packages to fire victims instead of celeb freebies.
“As a person in the public eye i am often being sent clothes and other things by brands wanting to gift me something,” she posted. “This is very kind and sweet but i want to encourage brands to give to people who really truly need it. any brands reading this please donate to those who have been tragically affected by these horrific LA fires.”
