YouTube duo Colin and Samir have lost their Palisades homes to LA’s fierce wildfires.
The situation’s even more urgent as both their wives, Madilyn Myers and Katie Chaudry, are expecting babies. The pair reached out to fans through social media for support.
“Hey everyone, Unfortunately both of our homes burned down in the Palisades Fire,” they shared on Instagram. “The enormity of the loss is very overwhelming. Both of our wives are pregnant and our primary focus right now is getting back on stable ground. We’ll be pausing uploads for a bit while we figure out what’s next.”
The duo acknowledged how bad things are across LA, saying “a devastating situation for many people across L.A. right now and fires are continuing to burn.”
“We’re blown away by all the support coming our way,” they added. “Big thanks to the firefighters and first responders still battling the flames. To our followers – we can’t even put into words how much you mean to us.”
Their GoFundMe’s already hit $183,000, smashing past their initial $100,000 goal and now aiming for $200,000.
In a personal update, Chaudry revealed that Katie, his wife since April 2022, is 37 weeks along in her pregnancy. Rosenblum and Myers tied the knot last April.
The Pacific Palisades has been ravaged by over 22,000 acres of wildfire damage since Tuesday (Jan. 7), sparked by Santa Ana winds. The devastation has spread across LA, Ventura, San Diego, Riverside and Santa Barbara, with six different fires burning through nearly 36,000 acres total.
