Beyoncé’s BeyGood Foundation Makes $2.5M Contribution to LA Fire Victims

Beyoncé’s stepping up big time for LA’s wildfire victims.

Her BeyGood foundation dropped news Sunday that they’re putting up $2.5 million to help out families hit by Southern California’s fires through the LA Fire Relief Fund.

“We’re directing this money to help families in Altadena/Pasadena who’ve lost their homes, plus supporting churches and community centers meeting the urgent needs of those affected by these wildfires,” the foundation shared on Instagram.

BeyGood pointed fans to their website for those wanting to pitch in and help.

Beyoncé started BeyGood back in 2013 to help folks facing money troubles, provide crisis support, back non-profits in underserved communities, and beyond.

The LA fires have already torn through over 38,000 acres and wiped out more than 12,000 homes and structures. CNN reports nearly 200,000 people have had to flee, and at least 24 lives have been lost. The Altadena and Pasadena areas are looking like war zones, and forecasts say the winds are about to kick up again this week.

The fires have claimed homes from a bunch of celebs, including Mandy Moore, Paris Hilton, Tina Knowles, Jhené Aiko, and Milo Ventimiglia, among others.
