Trump’s inauguration on Monday, Jan. 20, drew a mix of political heavyweights and big names from tech and entertainment.
Former presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush were there, along with Trump’s family – Melania and Barron Trump. Hillary Clinton, Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Bernie Sanders also made appearances.
The tech world showed up strong – Mark Zuckerberg and wife Priscilla Chan came through after dropping $1 million on the inauguration. Other tech giants in the crowd included Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, Apple’s Tim Cook, Google’s Sundar Pichai, media mogul Rupert Murdoch, and Twitter owner Elon Musk.
Jake Paul shared online that he, his brother Logan Paul, and UFC star Conor McGregor were at the inauguration ceremony.
In a viral clip, comedian Theo Von appeared on the same bus to the ceremony where he jokingly warned McGregor to stay away from the Paul brothers’ mom. Theo Von had previously hosted Trump on his podcast during the campaign trail.
Joe Rogan and UFC boss Dana White, both Trump supporters, were spotted in the crowd. TikTok’s CEO Shou Chew showed up too – notable timing given Trump’s recent promise to keep TikTok running in the U.S.
The musical lineup included scheduled performers Carrie Underwood, Lee Greenwood, and Christopher Macchio. While sports figures were thin on the ground, hockey legend Wayne Gretzky made an appearance.
The global stage was represented by several world leaders – Argentina’s Javier Milei, China’s Vice President Han Zheng (though President Xi Jinping skipped it despite getting an invite), Italy’s Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, and Ecuador’s President Daniel Noboa.
