The 26-year-old St. Louis rapper Sexyy Red had an unusual way of marking Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
She hit X on Monday, Jan. 21, dropping some AI-generated photos with the civil rights icon that got people talking.
In one of the AI pics, the Hood Hottest Princess artist appears to be holding hands with MLK Jr. while they’re getting close in what looks like a club setting.
The other AI pic showed Sexyy edited into the iconic August 1963 March on Washington for Jobs & Freedom scene alongside King and other protesters.
The posts got mixed reactions – while some responded with laughing and crying emojis, others weren’t feeling it.
“Yoooo don’t try to disrespect Martin,” one person commented.
Another wrote: “You are not Coretta Scott King level.”
“you’re always fighting for what’s right,” posted one user who made more AI pictures showing Sexyy at the 1969 Stonewall Riots and in a scene like Rosa Parks on a Montgomery bus.
While Sexyy had previously backed Kamala Harris in her 2024 presidential run, she stayed quiet about Trump’s inauguration that happened the same Monday.
