Future just dropped the video for “Lost My Dog,” a key track from his newest release Mixtape Pluto.
In the Henri Alexander Levy-directed video, Future opens up about losing a close friend to a fentanyl overdose. “Lookin’ at his texts, he was battlin’ with depression, I should’ve seen the signs as soon as I received the message,” he spits.
He also shares other thoughts that hit him after his friend’s passing. While he can’t change what happened, the 41-year-old artist wants to help stop others from experiencing similar pain.
Rolling Stone reports Future’s donating to D.A.R.E.’s anti-drug education through his Freewishes Foundation. His label Freebandz’s distributor Epic is also giving. You can donate here.
Looks like Future might have more music coming soon. He posted what seems to be new tunes on Instagram, with footage of him and Pharrell, hinting at upcoming releases.
“New Tape OTW,” was all he posted.
