ASAP Rocky’s firearm case has begun, with Thomas Zizzo – LAPD officer and son of Erika Jayne – delivering the first testimony.
Zizzo stepped into court Friday, revealing he was among the officers responding to the reported 2021 Los Angeles shooting incident, per TMZ. He detailed his observations upon arrival, with his bodycam footage being displayed to the court.
He shared that he interviewed residents about the shooting in a nearby parking lot. Zizzo, born to Jayne and her ex-husband Thomas Zizzo, was kept away from the spotlight, as his mother mentioned in a 2020 interview. He joined LAPD’s ranks in 2016.
When TMZ caught Rocky leaving court Friday and asked about a message for his fans, he briefly responded “I love you.”
The trial had an unexpected turn earlier when Judge Mark S. Arnold of Los Angeles County Superior Court called Rocky’s mom “beautiful.” The judge seemed surprised by her youthful appearance when she showed up to back her 36-year-old son.
