Drake sent a heartfelt message to his hometown crew while heading down under for The Anita Max Wynn Tour.
The rapper reached out to fellow Torontonians via Instagram Story on Sunday (Jan. 26), showing some love during their chilly season. Though he’s Australia-bound, Drake’s keeping the 6 close to heart.
“Love to all the 6’ers Winter months are the toughest,” Drake wrote. “Shit can be depressing so take care of yourselves and try show love to each other. Be back in a flash $$$OON.”
Drake extended his Instagram updates with a snap of a fan’s tour-inspired hairstyle, suggesting he’s mid-flight to Australia.
The upcoming Anita Max Wynn Tour marks Drake’s Australian comeback after eight years. The seven-show run opens at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Feb. 9-10 and wraps at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Feb. 28 and March 1, hitting Sydney and Brisbane along the way. His last Australian shows were during 2017’s Boy Meets World Tour.
During a livestream with xQc, Drake shared: “February 9th for anybody that’s watching from Australia, I’m coming back to Australia for the first time in eight years. Coming back to Australia on tour. Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast… February 9 ’til like… March something.”
