Michael B. Jordan pulls double duty playing twins in the latest trailer for the vampire flick Sinners.
The preview shows the twin brothers, both Black Southerners, running into some nasty white vampires (Hailee Steinfeld and Jack O’Connell) at a jukejoint in 1930s New Orleans. We get a glimpse of Steinfeld’s vamp about to snack on one of the twins trying to enter the spot, while Delroy Lindo, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, and Li Jun Li’s characters keep watch.
The plot? “Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.”
Sinners, hitting theaters April 18, 2025, adds to Jordan and Coogler’s impressive team-ups like Creed, Black Panther, and Fruitvale Station from the 2010s. Jordan also made a quick comeback as Erik Killmonger in Coogler’s 2022 hit Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
During an online press event for the trailer, The Hollywood Reporter caught Coogler describing the film as “very genre fluid.” “It switches in and out of a lot of different genres. Yes vampires are an element, but it’s not the only supernatural element in the movie. The film is about more than just that.”
