ASAP Relli, born Terell Ephron, hit the witness stand Tuesday in ASAP Rocky’s gun case, dropping some intense details about allegedly daring his old friend to pull the trigger.
In his testimony, Relli broke down his history with Rocky, starting from their high school days through forming the ASAP crew with ASAP Illz (real name Illijah Ulanga) and ASAP Bari (real name Jabari Shelton). Relli told the court about the night everything went down, claiming Rocky whipped out a gun and fired at him, with a bullet scraping his hand.
Relli testified that he was listening in on a call between Bari and Rocky just days before the alleged shooting, where Rocky talked about their friendship falling apart. The next day, Rocky supposedly blew up Relli’s phone while he was catching some Z’s, then dropped a text saying “Let’s get to it … stop ducking my calls.”
Relli said Rocky demanded to know where his Hollywood hotel was, then showed up with Illz and ASAP Twelvyy. According to Relli, things got heated between the former friends before Rocky allegedly pulled out a firearm.
“He pointed the gun at me and said, ‘I’ll kill you right now pussy,'” Relli said.
Relli testified that Rocky’s gun move made him snap, saying back, “You better use that shit. What the fuck you got a gun for pussy?”
He told the court that seeing Rocky aim a gun at him crossed the line.
“I was willing to die for my respect,” Relli said. “If this is what [Rocky] want to do, I still have my dignity.”
Relli went on to say Rocky tucked the gun away and split after spotting a couple walking by, while Twelvyy allegedly stashed a knife. Relli said he chased after them, yelling about how Rocky had let the crew down, before gunshots broke out.
Later, as Relli was leaving court, he got into it with a paparazzo who questioned if he was worried about being called a “snitch” for spilling all those details.
TMZ caught the moment when the photographer asked, “Some people call you a snitch. What do you say about that?”
Relli fired back, “Would you be a snitch if somebody shot at you?”
Relli’s heading back to the stand Wednesday to finish telling his side of what went down in that alleged 2021 shooting. Word from TMZ is that Rihanna’s planning to show up to back Rocky on the trial’s third day.
