LiAngelo Ball, aka GELO or G3, cruises the streets with his bros Lonzo and LaMelo in fresh visuals for his smash hit “Tweaker.”
The HPLA-shot video shows the Def Jam’s newest star living his best life after “Tweaker” landed at No. 29 on Billboard Hot 100. Shot between his LA home turf and Chicago, GELO spits bars into multiple mics, symbolizing his rise to fame, then rolls with his crew in a massive yellow whip before hitting up a party packed with scantily-clad dancers.
The video wraps with someone asking GELO “So, what’s next?” before dropping a 10-second teaser of what looks like his next banger.
Since dropping on Jan. 3, “Tweaker” has blown up with 38 million Spotify plays, dominating the platform’s Viral U.S. and Worldwide charts, plus crushing it on Apple Music Hip-Hop and iTunes Top Hip-Hop/Rap Songs.
The track’s been blowing up on TikTok too, catching ears from Boosie Badazz to actress Storm Reid. Now GELO’s cooking up his first album under Def Jam.
“It means a lot to sign to Def Jam,” GELO shared in a press release. “When I was a kid my dad always listened to DMX, and we had the video game Def Jam: Fight for NY. We met everybody, and I played them a bunch of songs. They wanted to hear it all. I really love their energy and excitement about everything I’m doing.”
