Drake’s pops Dennis Graham says the Grammy show Sunday was “excellent” but couldn’t care less about Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us” taking Record of the Year.
In a TikTok clip posted by Joy of Everything, Graham got asked about the ROTY win specifically, and his response was pure gold.
“I don’t care nothing about that shit,” he said. “That ain’t got nothing to do with me. All the best to him, man. I don’t do that bullshit.”
Though Graham was just talking about the ROTY win, Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” actually dominated every category it was nominated in – all five of them – even getting props from Ye on Instagram. When he grabbed Song of the Year, Kendrick bowed to Diana Ross, who announced the award.
“I’m starstruck,” K-Dot admitted before giving love to “all the West Coast artists” who’ve shaped his path.
“At the end of the day, nothing more powerful than rap music,” he declared. “I don’t care what it is. We are the culture. It’s gon’ always stay here and live forever.”
Kendrick’s next big move? He’s headlining the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans with SZA at his side.
