Cardi B Stands By Her Bond With Pardi After Megan Thee Stallion Breakup

Cardi B’s setting things straight about her connection to Pardison Fontaine as they drop a new track, following his split with Megan Thee Stallion.

Just before “Toot It Up” drops Friday, the 32-year-old rap star hit up X Spaces Tuesday night to shut down rumors about her long-time friendship with Pardi.

“I want to make this very clear,” Cardi stated at the 2-minute mark in the clip below. “I know Pardisan since 2012, and Pardison helped me with my first album. That’s how I became a fucking rich ass successful millionaire.”

“We’re like brothers and sisters, and when we talk about brothers and sisters, a lot of times we have fallouts because he pisses me the fuck off and I piss him the fuck off,” she went on. “I violate, you know how my mouth is. It’s really a brother and sister relationship. Sometimes we get along and sometimes we don’t talk for eight months.”

Turns out “Toot It Up” and its video have been ready to go for a while, but Cardi gave Pardi the green light to release it now that he’s signed with a label.

Later in the stream, without dropping any names, she begged fans to stop pulling her into the drama between Pardi and his ex Megan Thee Stallion, who were together from 2020 to 2023.

“When I fuck with two people and I like two people, I stay away from their shit because when it comes to relationships, some bullshit will always happen,” Cardi shared. “One thing about me, I’m gonna stay neutral and I’m gonna stay the fuck out of it.”

She added, “I am the child of the relationship and I stay out of y’all shit. … You don’t talk shit to me about him, I say you don’t talk shit to me about her. That’s how I always give it up because at the end of day I fuck with both of y’all and I love both of y’all. That’s just what it is. So stop with the bullshit.”

She then told fans to quit “being messy” and “harassing” her online.

On a brighter note, Cardi dropped some good news – her long-awaited second album, following up 2018’s Invasion of Privacy, is done. She’s just dealing with some production stuff, probably vinyl pressing.

“I need to make sure that when I announce the album, those shits are completed because if you are not able to order those stuff, then it’s not going to count for my album,” Cardi explained.
