Plaqueboymax thinks it’s “weird” how folks are celebrating Drake’s apparent defeat by Kendrick Lamar.
The FaZe Clan star jumped on stream Monday night (February 3) after the Grammys to share his thoughts on Kendrick’s five Grammy wins for his Drake diss track “Not Like Us.” Maxwell Dent (that’s Plaqueboymax’s real name) found it strange how the Grammy crowd was vibing and spitting bars to the hit song during Sunday’s show.
Though he gives props to “Not Like Us” as “one of the greatest diss songs,” he feels people are getting “a little too happy to see Drake losing.”
“I don’t like that shit,” he adds in the clip below. “It’s weird, bro! … It’s weird, it’s on some, like, everybody’s turning against him, shit.”
“I don’t fuck with that–I don’t! Are ya’ll not peeping it, though? Even if you don’t fuck with Drake, you cannot sit here and tell me that shit not weird.”
About the beef, Plaqueboymax thinks Drake never stood a chance – it was “impossible for Drake to win” since he was up against hip-hop’s dream team including Future and Metro Boomin.
While Drake’s been busy doing his thing down under in Australia this month, his dad Dennis Graham threw shade at Kendrick’s Grammy victory in a TikTok video shared by Joy of Everything.
Drake doesn’t seem bothered by all the “weird” industry vibes Plaqueboymax spotted coming his way. Right after Lamar scooped up five Grammys for Not Like Us on Feb. 3, Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR dropped some big news – they’re dropping a collab album called $ome $exy $ongs 4 U on Feb. 14.
