Drake dropped hints about an upcoming solo project with a catch.
While performing night two of his Anita Max Win Tour in Perth, Australia, the rapper gave fans a sneak peek of what’s in store.
“I got a new album coming out on Valentine’s Day with PARTYNEXTDOOR. It’s called $ome $exy $ongs 4 U,” Drake announced Wednesday night. “And you know, eventually when the time is right, Drizzy Drake alone by himself is gonna have to have a one-on-one talk to y’all.”
“When the time is right, I’ll be back with another album, a one-on-one conversation with y’all that you need to hear.”
Drake’s most recent solo project dropped in Oct. 2023 with For All the Dogs, followed by a Scary Hours Edition a month after.
A new Drake album flying solo, plus his upcoming collab with PARTYNEXTDOOR, will be his first drops since things heated up with Kendrick Lamar and crew in 2024.
Drake kicked his fresh tour off with a bang, apparently nodding to last summer’s rap beef by strutting into RAC Arena rocking a hoodie riddled with smoking bullet holes.
“My name is Drake. I started in 2008, I came all the way from Toronto, Canada,” he declared during Tuesday’s tour opener. “The year is now 2025, and Drizzy Drake is very much still alive.”
