FaZe Banks isn’t holding back in his takedown of Hailey Welch’s crew.
The 33-year-old content creator spilled tea Thursday about being lined up for Welch’s Talk Tuah podcast – what would’ve been her comeback episode since the $HAWK crypto mess blew up.
Banks says he laid down some hard rules before agreeing to show up, like making sure there’d be no market funny business and pushing her team to fix the token money situation.
“These were nonstarters and we were told this episode would only ever see the light of day if we explicitly green lit it,” Banks posted on X.
He added that sketchy stuff was happening with the token. “These incompetent r*s leaked and/ or inside traded the token. We noticed a random spike in volume on the coin 2/2 along with random messages asking us if we did the podcast. Very clearly her team was not as solid as they claimed to be.”
Banks pulled out of the podcast, but says the episode somehow got out anyway, making the token’s value jump.
“Now today, the episode ‘randomly’ gets leaked. The price of $HAWK is pumping and they completely fucking fumbled the bag, yet again,” Banks wrote. “What a fucking mess. Poor girl, it’s a wonder how she found herself in this position in the first place.”
“Now @HalieyWelchX I’m going to speak to you direct and say the exact same thing I said to you on spaces that night. Fire everybody, your teams fucking rd,” he added.
“Tbh I was just tryna pipe,” Banks threw in on X twenty minutes later.
When 22-year-old Welch dropped her meme coin last December, riding the wave of her “Hawk Tuah” viral fame, things got messy fast. YouTuber Coffeezilla called it out as a “scam,” and investors hit back with a lawsuit claiming Securities Act of 1993 violations, asking for $150,000 in damages.
The lawsuit went after OverHere Ltd. and Clinton So who founded it, Tuah the Moon Foundation, and Alex Larson Schultz. Welch dodged being named in the legal action.
She came out with a statement December 20, saying, “I take this situation extremely seriously and want to address my fans, the investors who have been affected, and the broader community.”
“I am fully cooperating with and am committed to assisting the legal team representing the individuals impacted, as well as to help uncover the truth, hold the responsible parties accountable, and resolve this matter.”
