ASAP Rocky stepped in to stop ASAP Twelvyy from revealing the meaning behind AWGE during questioning in court.
The prosecution showed a photo in Flacko’s hearing last Friday, featuring his bed with AWGE letters stitched into it. When they asked Twelvyy to explain the letters’ meaning, Rocky jumped in with a quick ‘Don’t say.’ This move left the lawyer puzzled, who kept pushing for an answer.
Twelvyy just kept repeating “It means AWGE,” which frustrated the prosecutor so much they asked the judge to make him spell it out. But Twelvyy wouldn’t budge, and when asked if he heard Rocky’s warning not to answer, he played it cool, saying he only caught some random noise.
Twelvvy ended up leaving the stand, not explaining what AWGE meant. AWGE is the name of Rocky’s creative agency, which he founded in 2014. The company recorded several music videos, but nothing else is known about the entity. The AWGE website even states, “Rules: #1 Never reveal what AWGE means.”
During an interview with the New York Times from 2016, Rocky was tight-lipped when the topic eas brought up. “The first rule of AWGE is don’t ask questions about AWGE,” Rocky replied when asked what the letters mean. “No one needs to know what the letters stand for. We know what it is, and that’s how we want to keep it.”
Elsewhere in his testimony, Twelvyy claimed ASAP Relli was the aggressor in the night Rocky allegedly shot at him in Los Angeles. Twelvyy stated that he never saw Rocky point the gun at Relli despite the latter stating otherwise and claimed hearing Relli tell his former friend to “shoot that fake ass gun.”
