Right on schedule, Drake and PND dropped their first-ever collab project $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, linking up for a complete body of work.
PND, who’s been rolling with OVO Sound for over 10 years now, made waves last April with P4 – the latest drop in his self-titled series that got everyone talking about its steamy cover art on X. As for Drake, his last solo album For All the Dogs hit the streets back in 2023.
Drake’s track “First Person Shooter” sparked a chain reaction, triggering Kendrick’s clap-back on “Like That” with Metro Boomin and Future. Things heated up fast, with both heavyweights trading diss tracks left and right. Among them, “Not Like Us” ended up bagging five Grammy Awards and earned a spot in Kendrick’s Super Bowl performance last weekend.
Now, with $ome $exy $ongs 4 U hitting all streaming platforms, the timing’s interesting for Drake. Based on how they’ve been teasing it and what folks expect from a Drake-PND collab, we probably won’t hear much Kendrick-related stuff this time around – though who knows what might’ve dropped by the time you’re reading this.
The buzz is real though, and even Drake’s critics are pumped to hear this side of him. Take Joe Budden – he recently told his audience “I like Drake with the melodies” while chatting about some Finsta drama earlier this week.
