Druski just dropped some major news about his upcoming film project with Kevin Hart and Kai Cenat.
During Friday’s The Breakfast Club chat, when Charlamagne Tha God asked about it, Druski spilled that Hart’s not playing around. “(Kevin) just called us last night spazzing on us just letting us know, ‘Guys get serious about this shit,'” said Druski. “He gave us a list of movies to watch to study — I watched some of the movies, Kai didn’t. He was like listen man, it ain’t like you got shit to do. Y’all aint doing shit. What movies y’all got set up for this year?'”
“It’s like hard parenting,” Druski continued. “But it’s like look, lock in because I’m tryna get y’all to that next level of thinking.”
Druski kept things mysterious about the film but confirmed cameras should be rolling this year. “We have a bunch of meetings set up to where we’ll be shooting very soon,” he shared. “I’ve seen part of the script. It’s at the beginning stages where [the writers] are in a writing room.”
The comedy trio first showed their magic when they broke Twitch records last June, pulling in a mind-blowing 712,600 viewers at once.
“The BIGGEST & BEST STREAM EVER…..@druski x @kaicenat x @kevinhart4real = comedy gold!!!!!,” Hart in a post on Instagram. “No scripts and no plans….Just vibing and feeding off one another….Nothing but love for these to jackasses.”
When Complex caught up with Druski recently about the movie buzz, he was still in the dark. “I’m not sure about the movie; it’s supposed to be with me, [Kevin], and Kai,” Druski said. “I talked to Kai as well and he also said [Kevin] hadn’t called him back yet. So we’re both just waiting.”
“We know he’s a businessman,” Druski added. “Super busy guy as well, so me and Kai are just taking the backseat.”
