T-Pain Suspects Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s Latest Drop Is Just Old Unused Songs

T-Pain’s suggesting Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s new project $ome $exy $ongs might just be a mix of leftover tracks they had lying around.

The auto-tune king shared his thoughts during a recent livestream.

“I feel like [Drake] recorded a bunch of shit,” he said. “And in order to keep [PARTYNEXTDOOR] around, I feel like you could take 10 or 15 of these songs, put a verse on them bitches PARTY, and that’s our album bro.”

T-Pain made it clear he’s not hating on the album at all.

“I’m not saying that they’re bad,” he added. “These are just songs that didn’t make albums. Or PARTY came to him with an album and was like, ‘Hey Drake, could you put verses on these songs.'”

Whether it’s fresh tracks or vault material, $ome $exy $ongs is already breaking records. According to Billboard, the 21-track album has become Apple Music’s biggest R&B soul album ever based on day-one streams.

Dropping on Valentine’s Day, the project features Yebba and Chino Pacas in the mix.

Drake stirred up some drama on the track “GIMME A HUG,” showing love to Melyssa Ford by calling her a “legend from the 6” while taking shots at Joe Budden, calling him a “dick sucker.” Both Ford and Budden are co-hosts on Budden’s podcast.

Ford told the podcast she was “still processing” the shoutout, but later embraced it by adding “legend from the 6” to her Instagram bio.

“I don’t know what he is trying to do, I am not in that man’s mind, I do not know. I will let you guys opine on that,” she said. Budden, surprisingly unbothered by the diss, just said “I was happy.”
