Lil Wayne’s daughter Reginae Carter isn’t having it with the haters trashing her dad’s “SNL 50” spot. Wayne hit the stage Sunday, backed by The Roots, dropping a mix of his bangers. While he rocked out classics like “Uproar,” “6 Foot 7 Foot,” “Lollipop,” “Mrs. Officer,” and “A Milli,” some folks on social media started comparing his show to Super Bowl material, according to TMZ.
When the hate started flying, Reginae jumped into The Shade Room’s comments to stick up for her pops – and dropped some money facts while she was at it. Turns out Super Bowl performers don’t see a dime, but her dad’s getting paid for his SNL gig.
“Y’all are some d riders!” she fired back. “My dad been having fun performing for years! He is truly himself when he hit the stage. Go play with y’all mf kids .. he collected a check after this .. what y’all get for hating? Not a damn thing!”
Even though lots of fans thought Wayne deserved the Super Bowl spotlight in his New Orleans backyard, he kept it classy when he got passed over. Sure, he admitted in an Instagram clip that being passed over “hurt a whole lot,” but he still reached out to Kendrick with nothing but love, telling him to “kill it.”
And Weezy’s not letting any of this slow his roll – he just dropped some huge news that Tha Carter VI is landing on June 6.
