The gun assault trial against ASAP Rocky wrapped up with the jury finding him not guilty. When the verdict dropped Tuesday afternoon (February 18) clearing him of two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm, Rocky couldn’t contain his joy.
The rapper leaped right over to his mom and Rihanna, wrapping them both in a huge hug.

Right after the verdict came down, Rihanna hopped on social media to show love for Rocky and give thanks that her man wouldn’t be heading to jail.
The drama started back in August 2022 when Rocky got charged for allegedly shooting his former friend and A$AP Mob member, Terrell Epheron (known as A$AP Relli). The incident supposedly went down on November 6, 2021, during a Hollywood confrontation where bullets grazed Epheron’s knuckles.
Rocky (born Rakim Mayers) turned down a plea deal that would’ve given him 180 days behind bars – a big risk since he was facing up to 24 years if found guilty. Through it all, Rihanna (mother of his two sons), his mom Renee Black, and sister Erica B showed up to support him during the trial.
