Cole’s letting everyone know he’s in full creative mode cooking up new tracks.
Through a post on his Inevitable audio series website, the 40-year-old MC owned up to his spotty blogging and promised to step it up.
“I knowwww mannnn. I’m off to a bad start with the consistency, but I’ma do better! Watch!!” Cole wrote on Tuesday. “I been locked in on the music while also balancing family life. It’s a juggling act that a blog post wouldn’t do justice in explaining. But with that said, I’m back tending to this garden.”
He added, “I think I’m gonna let some other people post on here too, to get the vibes up. It’ll motivate me to check every day,and will fuel the desire to post more. I’ma start with Ib and Scott and then expand from there. To anybody in the squad reading, if you trying to contribute I’m taking applications!”
This’ll be Cole’s first drop since Might Delete Later, his April 2024 mixtape that included “7 Minute Drill” – his response to Kendrick Lamar’s verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That” from We Don’t Trust You.
Cole later took back the diss track, calling it “the lamest shit I ever did in my fucking life” during his Dreamville Festival performance and pulled it from streaming platforms.
To keep the fans fed while they wait for new music, Cole blessed streaming services with his classic mixtapes The Come Up, The Warm Up, and Friday Night Lights last November.
