Tyga is mourning the loss of his mom.
The artist announced that his mother, Pasionaye Nicole Nguyen, left this world on Jan. 18 at age 53. He poured his heart out in an Instagram post dedicated to her.
“I been trying to understand and process why God takes the most meaningful and beautifulest people away from us,” he wrote. “But I know I’ll never get an answer that will fill the emptiness in my heart.”
“Can’t imagine life without you by my side. You were the best and most supportive person in my life, you always made things better when I felt at my lowest and worst,” he shared. “I would trade anything just to be able to be with you again.”
The rapper ended with hope of reuniting with his mom someday. “I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. and I can’t wait for the day until we’re together again I’ll see you soon and save me a spot right next to you in paradise,” he added.
His mom’s cause of death hasn’t been revealed yet, though one photo in his tribute post shows her wearing a hospital bracelet.
The touching photo collection he shared captures sweet memories between them – from goofy moments of him dressed as the Grinch, to her opening a Chanel bag, and a heartwarming text where she called him the “most amazing gift in life.”
In a strange twist of fate, Tyga shared this sad news on the same day that Biggie’s mom, Voletta Wallace, passed away.
TMZ reported that Wallace died from natural causes in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. She was 78.
