Celebrity hairstylist Jesus Guerrero, who styled the locks of A-listers like Kylie Jenner and Jennifer Lopez, has passed away at 34.
His family broke the news Sunday through Instagram Stories posts.
“Our family would like to thank everyone for all the love and support during this hard time. Jesus was the brightest light, we have never doubted that he touched the hearts and lives of everyone he came across,” the family’s statement said. “We have fallen into tears repeatedly reminiscing and wondering what we could of done different to still have him with us.”

“Seeing everyone’s loving posts fills and tears our hearts all at once. If anyone has videos or photos they’d like to send to us through here we’d love every frame,” they continued. “I don’t know how the world will go on without his light but I know he’ll give us the strength to push past any obstacle.”
His younger sister Gris created a GoFundMe page, sharing that Guerrero passed “suddenly and unexpectedly” without giving further details.
“He is a son, a brother, an uncle, an artist, a friend, and so much more. Born and raised in Houston, TX to immigrant parents, Jesus learned how to work hard and dreamt of taking his skills to the top,” Gris wrote.
The fundraising campaign, which aims to transport Guerrero’s body back to Houston and cover expenses, has already raised over $77,000 of its $80,000 target as of Sunday afternoon.
Celebrities including Rosalia, Kali Uchis, Sabrina Claudio, and Paris Hilton took to social media to share heartfelt tributes to Guerrero.

Cassie Ventura shared her touching message, writing, “We didn’t know each other very well, but the impression you left on my heart will be everlasting. Sweet Soul. Sending all of my love and prayers to your family and friends. Rest in LOVE @jesushair.”
YouTuber Trisha Paytas shared memories and thoughts about their friendship with Guerrero.

“It doesn’t feel real. My sweet Jesus, you were such a light in this world,” Paytas shared. “Reconnected last year and you were living the most beautiful life. An inspiration to us all. Gone too soon.”
“I met Jesus in 2015. Him and Angel really showed me what glam was,” she added in another post. “They also showed me so much genuine friendship. They would take me out to eat after every heartbreak, helped me decorate all my apartments, cook together etc.”
Paytas recalled his amazing career journey, from styling Kylie Jenner and Jennifer Lopez to working with Katy Perry on a music video last year, noting, “I think I’m still in shock. He impacted so many people. And I’m so lucky to have known him in this life.”
Guerrero’s last Instagram post on Feb. 2 showcased his work with Uchis for the 2025 Grammy Awards. Just a month before, he had posted photos of Jenner during Paris Couture Fashion Week and the 2025 Golden Globes.
People reports that Guerrero’s star-studded client roster also included Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Dua Lipa, Charli XCX, Camila Cabello, and Blackpink’s Lisa.
