Drake Pushes Back Anita Max Win Tour Dates Due to ‘Scheduling Conflict’

Drake’s Anita Max Win Tour, which has been grabbing headlines lately, is hitting pause.

According to a statement first shared with Rolling Stone AU/NZ, a “scheduling conflict” is behind the decision. The plan, though, is to announce new dates for the postponed shows, plus add some extra ones. If you’ve already got tickets, they’ll still work for the rescheduled concerts, but refunds are available too if you want one.

Drake’s Anita Max Win Tour, which has been making waves in the headlines recently, is taking a break.

In a statement first given to Rolling Stone AU/NZ, a “scheduling conflict” was cited as the reason for the delay. However, there are plans to announce new dates for the postponed shows, along with some additional concerts. Tickets already purchased will still be valid for the rescheduled performances, though fans can opt for a refund if they prefer.

When contacted by Complex on Wednesday, Drake’s representative provided this statement:

“Due to a scheduling conflict, four of Drake’s 16 sold-out shows in Australia and New Zealand will be postponed.

We are actively working on rescheduling these dates along with adding some additional shows. All tickets for the affected shows will remain valid for the new dates. Refunds will be available for those who prefer, but please note that as these shows are sold out, any refunded tickets will be released for sale.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Drake and the entire team have had an incredible time doing these shows and are excited to return soon. We look forward to sharing the rescheduled dates with you as soon as possible.”

As of now, Drake himself hasn’t publicly addressed the postponement. The tour began earlier this month with consecutive shows at Perth’s RAC Arena before moving to Melbourne and Sydney. He performed four shows in each of those cities before heading to Brisbane. The affected dates include upcoming concerts in Brisbane (March 4), Sydney (March 7), and Auckland (March 15 and 16).

Fans’ homemade signs have been getting lots of attention during the Anita Max Win tour, as have Drake’s offers to help ease certain fans’ money troubles. During one recent show, a fan’s sign prompted Drake to offer to pay for their mother’s cancer treatment.

PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake’s $ome $exy $ongs 4 U album, their first full project together, dropped in the middle of Drake’s Australia and New Zealand tour. It’s currently sitting at No. 1 in the U.S.
