Marco Antonio Solís, one of Mexico’s biggest music legends, just gave his own spin on “Not Like Us.”
The 65-year-old Mexican superstar shocked his fans at a recent Argentina concert when he mixed Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” into his performance.
As Remezcla’s Lucas Villa pointed out, a fan-made video of El Buki dancing to “Not Like Us” went viral on TikTok (and probably blew up in every Latino WhatsApp group) shortly after K.Dot performed his hit track during the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
Solís might have somehow spotted this viral edit and decided to recreate Dot’s Halftime moves during his February 23 show at Estadio Centenario in Resistencia while performing his hit “El Celoso” with his “vaquera” dancers.
Solís’ brief “Not Like Us” moment might catch some of his fans off guard.
In a 2019 conversation with GQ México y Latinoamérica, Solís claimed his mission was to “defend” music before bringing up reggaetón.
“In another words, for you, it’s the worst thing that’s happened to music?” journalist Alejandro Mancilla asked him.
“Not so much,” Solís replied with a laugh. “Its lyrics, yes, perhaps but we live in a liberal world and it is a valid genre. You have to accept it, they are necessary rhythms that have been liked for a reason. Although it cannot last because it is not made with the soul; it does not grow, it does not bear fruit. Romance is what does not expire.”
