Millie Bobby Brown is eyeing the part of Britney Spears in the pop legend’s upcoming life story film.
The Stranger Things actress has been rocking blonde locks lately and looks strikingly similar to Spears, so during her chat with Access Hollywood at The Electric State premiere, Brown discussed the possibility of playing the singer.
“I mean, she is an absolute icon,” the 21-year-old British actress told Access. “I would love nothing more than to be a part of her story.”
She added, “But that’s her story, and I am in full support of her bringing her story to life how she wants to.”
A biopic, produced by Marc Platt, was announced last August and will be based on Spears’ 2023 memoir The Woman In Me. Jon M. Chu, who recently directed the blockbuster musical Wicked, is set to direct.
Brown previously expressed interest in playing Spears back in November 2022 while visiting The Drew Barrymore Show. Days after Brown’s comments, Spears seemed to respond in a fiery Instagram post, where she also mentioned her parents.
“I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life… dude I’m not dead!!!” she wrote in the caption.
