Drake is showing appreciation for the “real ones.”
During a recent show in Brisbane, Australia, the OVO hitmaker took a moment to thank everyone who’s supported him this past year. He specifically called out friends and collaborators who remained loyal during the Kendrick Lamar beef, hinting that others flipped when it seemed the hip-hop community had turned against him.
“I really do wanna say thank you again for what you’ve done for my life,” he told the crowd at Brisbane Entertainment Centre. “For my family, for my friends, for all my collaborators, all the producers, all the other artists that I work with. You know, the ones that didn’t turn p****y — I mean, the ones that are still real, you know. My real ones. But yeah, I appreciate you because you’ve changed my life for me and everybody around me.”
Drake thanked his peers who didn’t switch up on him in Brisbane, AUS: “For all my collaborators, all the producers, all the other artists that I work with. The concert was part of Drake’s Anita Max Win Tour across Australia and New Zealand. The tour began February 4 in Perth and was supposed to wrap up March 16 in Auckland. However, weeks before the final performance, Drake canceled the remaining dates. His representative confirmed this decision to Rolling Stone, blaming an unspecified “scheduling conflict.”
“We are actively working on rescheduling these dates along with adding some additional shows,” the statement read. “All tickets for the affected shows will remain valid for the new dates. Refunds will be available for those who prefer, but please note that as these shows are sold out, any refunded tickets will be released for sale… Drake and the entire team have had an incredible time doing these shows and are excited to return soon.”
As of Thursday evening, Drake’s team hasn’t announced any new tour dates.
