IShowSpeed claims he’s completely cut ties with his girlfriend, Vanessa Anne Williams, for Ramadan.
The popular streamer shared this decision during a recent broadcast while reviewing old footage where he explained his plans for observing the Islamic holy month. During Ramadan, which typically runs for 30 days, Muslims often practice fasting as a spiritual discipline.
“Yo chat, in Ramadan, you can’t talk to no girls,” he explained. “You can’t drink water or eat food, bro. You have to really lock in. So everybody in the chat, bro, hopefully you boys lock in.”
He added, “Chat, I’m not talking to my girlfriend, y’all. I already blocked her. Lock in chat.”
In December, Speed and Williams went viral after his spectacular backflip fail right in front of her.
The moment happened while Speed was streaming Fortnite with Kai Cenat as Williams sat nearby. When Cenat dared him to do a backflip, Speed initially complained about being put on the spot. After a brief moment of focus, he attempted the stunt to impress his girlfriend.
The result was pure chaos. Speed’s takeoff looked promising, but gravity quickly turned Speed into IShowPain. His legs crashed into his desk, sending dust flying everywhere. Speed hit the floor hard as both Williams and Cenat watched with shocked expressions.
Speed had previously introduced Williams to his audience during a live reveal where she initially seemed nervous about being on camera.
“Anyways y’all, boys and girls, this is my girl Vanessa,” Speed announced then. “She is 20 years old.”
Once she got comfortable with the camera and Speed’s viewers, Williams answered three questions so fans could get to know her better.
The questions were, “Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi? What’s your favorite anime? Bend or top?”
Williams replied with, “Ronaldo. One Piece. Bend.”
