Amber Rose suggests that Ye is behind Bianca Censori’s recent revealing outfits and points to “enablers” for bringing out his “dark side.”
During a new interview with Shannon Sharpe on his Club Shay Shay podcast, Rose looked back on her past relationship with the artist formerly known as Kanye West, 47, with understanding and worry given his recent behavior.
Ye grabbed attention in January when he showed up at the 2025 Grammys Red Carpet with wife Censori, 30, who slowly removed her fur coat to reveal an “invisible” dress that left nothing to the imagination.
The rapper also launched a series of disturbing posts on his X account last month where he declared himself a Nazi while praising Hitler, admitted to hitting women and having “dominion” over Censori, and doubled down that “slavery is a choice.”
“It’s hard for me because I do have a place in my heart for Kanye, where I know the good side of him. I’ve experienced the good side of him,” said Rose, 41, at the one-hour, 19-minute mark in the video linked above.
“But when he surrounds himself with people that just feed the dark side of him, he’s not living at his full potential. So I feel bad when I see things that he does sometimes and I’m like, you don’t have somebody around you that’s maternal in a way that’s gonna sit you down, and love on you, and get you to do the right things, you know?”
She went deeper into the interview, adding, “I think that he has enablers around him that don’t actually care about him. That’s what it looks like to me. I don’t have inside information on what’s going on in that camp, but just looking from the outside and that’s what it looks like to me.”
Rose mentioned that although she never met Ye’s mother, Donda West, who passed away in 2007, she knew how to support him emotionally because of her experience taking care of her own mother after her grandmother died.
Besides the time Ye famously cut off Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV VMA’s, Rose claims he wasn’t acting the way he is now.
When asked about Censori, Rose firmly stated that he’s the one behind her more revealing fashion choices.
“Kanye is for sure dressing her like that,” she said. “He did the same thing to me and Kim [Kardashian].”
She added, “He wants all his friends to wanna fuck his girlfriend. He wants everybody that—when you walk in a room that his girlfriend or wife is the most desirable in the room.”
Rose, who was with Ye from 2008 to 2010, remembered going along with his wishes to wear revealing outfits during their relationship, but often rebelled by wearing his baggy clothes when he wasn’t around.
“I was young, and I’m going to tell Kanye ‘no?'” she said of her mindset back then. “Now if you look at old pictures of me when I’m dating Kanye but [I was] out by myself? I have all his clothes on.”
“I have baggy jeans on, t-shirt, big ass jacket. I raided his closet. When he wasn’t home, I would wear all his stuff because I used to hate to dress like a whore basically,” she added. “I used to hate it, so I used to rebel when he wasn’t home and I would go in his closet.”
Rose remembered a heated argument with Ye in Europe over wearing a see-through dress, saying, “I remember crying and arguing with him and being like, I don’t wanna wear this fucking shit. I don’t wanna wear it.”
“‘You don’t understand! This fashion, ta ta ta, I’m a genius,'” she said, mimicking her ex. “You know how he is. And it’s like, ‘OK, I still don’t wanna wear it.’ But I wound up wearing it. They ate me up on the internet.”
Looking back on that period, Rose told Sharpe that she’d never put on something like that again. While she does have an OnlyFans account, she explained that she doesn’t post explicit content—a choice influenced by being mom to Sebastian Taylor Thomaz, 11, and four-year-old Slash Electric Alexander Edwards.
“Because I have children, there’s certain things that I just will not do because I respect and love my boys,” she said.
