Jordyn Woods has revealed she’s mourning the death of a close friend who lost their fight with breast cancer.
Earlier this week, the 27-year-old model and socialite posted “Fuck Cancer” on her X account.
Woods followed up on Thursday with a somber update, writing, “Thank you for all of your prayers and concern. I had to bury one of the closest people to me yesterday after she lost her battle to breast cancer.
“Life isn’t always fair. She will be missed tremendously,” she added.
According to TMZ, some fans might have thought the “fuck cancer” tweet was referring to Woods’ father, who died from cancer when the model was 19.
Others speculated it was about her boyfriend, New York Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns, who sat out Tuesday’s game against the Golden State Warriors due to “personal reasons,” according to Bleacher Report.
However, Sports Illustrated notes that Towns will be back on the court against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.
