Kevin Hart has caught wind of Kai Cenat playfully calling him a “leprechaun” after Stephen A. Smith suggested the two stars were on the same level when it comes to basketball skills.
During a recent First Take appearance, Cenat was asked to rate his own NBA All-Star Celebrity Game performance, which led to Smith, who reportedly just landed a $100 million ESPN contract, bringing Hart into the discussion.
“Kevin Hart? You just compared me to that little leprechaun? Kevin Hart?” Cenat questioned. “Are you serious?”
Cenat went on to joke that Hart “can’t hoop for real no more” before offering his own comparison picks: Allen Iverson, Jamal Crawford, and Steph Curry.
“The people are saying this,” he insisted, much to Smith’s annoyance. Cenat then claimed that Hart “would literally cook” Smith on the court, prompting Smith to boast that he could potentially “beat you and Kevin by myself.”
Later, Hart was asked for his thoughts on Smith’s comparison when approached by a TMZ paparazzo in New York.
“Kai Cenat is Kai Cenat. He’s dope as hell,” said Hart, who appeared alongside Druski on Cenat’s special Thanksgiving stream last year.
The paparazzo then mentioned Cenat’s “leprechaun” comment, which led Hart to jokingly change his tune.
“You tell Kai I said go fuck himself,” the comedian replied with a laugh.
Earlier this week, Cenat made his late-night TV debut on The Tonight Show. While chatting with host Jimmy Fallon, Cenat, who Complex ranked as the No. 2 streamer of 2024, described his marathon stream preparation process as similar to training for the NBA Finals.
“It’s like I’m going out there to win a championship,” he explained.
