Kevin Hart claims a drinking session with Seth Meyers almost finished him off.
While promoting his new BET+ adult animated series Lil Kev on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Hart joined the host for the show’s ‘Day Drinking’ segment. The comedian had previously shared drinks with Meyers in 2024, joining other notable guests like Rihanna, Lizzo, Kristen Stewart and more.
Seven minutes into their recent interview, Meyers brought up their 2024 drinking experience, prompting the Gran Coramino founder to joke they “got a reality check.”
“I came into that day with such an idea of who I thought I was,” Hart admitted. “I was like, ‘This gonna be crazy. I’m gonna drink with Seth, show him what I do because I know I drink like I used to’—and I almost died. There was really a chance where it was over.”
“And then you called me the next morning and yelled at me like I had tried to kill you,” Meyers cut in.
Hart admitted he only remembered “bits and pieces” from filming, somehow ending up on the floor after just a few drinks.
“I remember being on the floor, laying on your chest, and not knowing how I got there,” Hart recalled. “And then I remember being in a car and for some reason, all the cheese on the pizza slid off and it was on my stomach.”
“I remember saying, ‘Why would y’all pay for this? Why would you buy me the idea of pizza with no cheese?’ And it was all on my chest,” he added.
Hart also mentioned that the Jumanji-themed drinking game was “definitely a moment of truth.”
But apparently the two “didn’t learn their lesson,” because around the 10-minute mark in the video below, Meyers convinced him to play a slot machine drinking game. The host landed on a mix of gin, vodka and rum.
“Take your time. By the way, before, I was like, ‘Pound it. Don’t be a bitch,’ Meyers joked. “Now I’m like, ‘Hey, take your time, man. Take your time, Seth. I care about you.”
Hart ended up with vodka and two pours of champagne, joking that he was “stalling” before finally downing the drink.
