ASAP Rocky dodged questions about his delayed album Don’t Be Dumb during Paris Fashion Week.
“Don’t do me like that,” Rocky replied with a smile when asked about the project he’s been teasing since 2022. “Listen, don’t make me do that right now, man. You gonna get me beat up out here, bro. They looking, they on my head, bro. ‘Cause of questions like that! I can’t even… I gotta go.”
ASAP Rocky has been teasing his new album Don’t Be Dumb since 2022 but still hasn’t released it.
He playfully avoided questions about the album during Paris Fashion Week, saying “You gonna get me beat up out here” when pressed for details.
Originally scheduled for August 2024, the album was delayed due to sample clearance issues and leaks. Rocky has promised production from major names like Tyler, the Creator, Madlib, Hit-Boy, Metro Boomin, and others.
Last month, Rocky told GQ the album is “done” and compared it to a “gourmet meal,” but gave no release date. He defended artists who take their time with music, saying they’re creating “timeless pieces” rather than trying to “stay culturally relevant.”
