50 Cent took to Instagram Wednesday to comment on reports that NYC Mayor Eric Adams got booed at the Planet Hollywood reopening. “Damn they booed him, he must have got there after me. I didn’t see him at all,” 50 wrote alongside a screenshot of an article about the incident.

50 Cent, who mingled with celebs at the Planet Hollywood reopening this week, commented that he didn’t witness NYC Mayor Eric Adams reportedly getting booed at the event.
According to Page Six, Adams, who recently had bribery charges dismissed, faced loud boos while walking the red carpet at Tuesday night’s Planet Hollywood reopening in Times Square. The outlet noted Adams likely heard the jeers, and an Uber driver even pulled over specifically to heckle him.
Besides 50 and Adams, the star-studded event included Patrick Schwarzenegger and Boy George. Inside, 50 hung out with Pete Davidson, Alec Baldwin, Whoopi Goldberg, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The grand opening at 136 W. 42nd St. was hosted by Alec and Hilaria Baldwin, five years after the previous Planet Hollywood NYC location closed in Times Square.
50 Cent sponsored the party through his Branson Cognac brand. The new three-story nightclub and restaurant features multiple bars, DJ booths, massive 360-degree screens, and various dining options.
The original Planet Hollywood, which opened in 1991, shut down during the pandemic.
