Playboi Carti Talks Adin Ross Streaming Experience: ‘Nothing Negative… He’s Just Not My Type’

Playboi Carti apparently isn’t feeling Adin Ross.

During a Discord call with Kai Cenat, Young Dabo and ImDontai, Carti responded when Cenat asked if he’d do another stream. Though Ross wasn’t mentioned directly, Carti knew what was being asked.

“Would you ever go on another stream?” Kai asked.

“Yeah, I got to,” Cash Carti replied. “‘Cause, like, that Adin Ross sht, you know what I mean? I ain’t like that Adin Ross sht, bro. It wasn’t even supposed to be like that, no cap. You know what I’m saying? I wish that sht wasn’t like that, I don’t mean nothing negative, for real. … Honestly, he’s just not my type of n**a. So … It’s gon’ be awkward, you feel me?”

Carti briefly appeared on Ross’ Kick stream last February after performing with Travis Scott at the 2024 Grammys, according to HipHopDX. During that stream, Ross asked about Carti’s upcoming album, which Carti described as “mind-blowing.”

“My best. My very best—it’s actually insane,” Carti told him.

The short interaction only lasted six minutes, ending when Ross handed Carti a bag of cash.

It’s not clear exactly how much money was in the bag. Before the stream, Adin claimed he was paying Carti $2 million plus throwing in a Ferrari for appearing.

On Friday, Carti released I Am Music, featuring guest spots from Travis Scott, The Weeknd, Skepta, Future, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Uzi Vert, Ty Dolla Sign, and Young Thug. This album follows his 2020 release Whole Lotta Red.
