Matthew Knowles Reacts to Ye’s Comments About Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s Twins: ‘People Pay a Price for Being Stupid’

Mathew Knowles has addressed Ye’s recent remarks about Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s children.

In his conversation with TMZ, Knowles stated, “People pay a price for being stupid, especially in the music industry.”

Acknowledging concerns about Ye’s mental well-being behind his social media outbursts, Knowles added, “I’m hopeful Kanye gets the type of help he needs, in terms of mental health.”

Ye had posted and later removed tweets about Bey and Hov’s seven-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir. On X, he questioned, “Wait, has anyone ever seen Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s younger kids?” before using the R-word to describe them. After deleting the posts, Ye admitted he did so “not because I’m a good person” but to avoid being banned from the platform.

Tina Knowles seemingly responded indirectly, sharing an Instagram video of herself telling a joke during a photoshoot for her book, Matriarch: “What happens when a snowman throws a tantrum? He has a meltdown. Y’all know that’s funny.”

Her caption took a more serious tone: “It’s hard to remain positive and classy in the face of ignorance and evil. But I know that no weapon formed against me or my family shall prosper. This battle is not mine, but the Lord’s. I know that God has got this.”

Ye has been lashing out on X lately, targeting Playboi Carti, Tyler, the Creator, Kendrick Lamar, and others. The Donda rapper recently called himself a Nazi and expressed “love” for Hitler, only to walk back these statements days later.
